National Art Honors Society Coffee House
By Grace Sweeney and Alicia Tai
Every year the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) hosts a coffee house located in Henderson High School’s cafeteria for students, parents, and anyone interested in art, coffee, and fun. This year the coffee house is on Friday, January 25th from 5 PM to 8 PM, and the theme is “Around the World.” Participants will be able to explore various landmarks around the globe that the members of NAHS have spent weeks creating. A few monuments include the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian pyramids, and the Statue of Liberty. Admission to the coffee house is $3and includes tons of food, coffee, a photo booth, henna (for an extra dollar), and much more! There will also be an open mic for all to enjoy, and anyone who is interested may sign up at the event to perform. In addition, many of the students’ artwork will be displayed around the coffee house for everyone to enjoy and view. Attending the coffee house is a great opportunity for those who are not part of the art community to support and see the work of artists at Henderson.
